We welcome you as kaitiaki (guardians) of our waterways. You will be part of an
immersive cultural experience on the Ōtākaro, Avon River with a focus on the
conservation and restoration of the riverbed. Manuhiri (visitors) will participate
in a kaihoe warm-up game, kaihoe haka lesson, Waka journey and walking tour.
A minimum of 4 people is required to paddle our waka. We will contact you within
24 hours prior to your scheduled tour time if we need to re-schedule your tour.

CHILDREN
An adult must be selected before adding a child or infant. We require a minimum supervision ratio of 1 adult to 2 children under 5, and 1 adult to 3 children aged 5–15.
All children aged 15 and under are required to wear a life vest.
Life vests will be provided.
