We welcome you as kaitiaki (guardians) of our waterways. You will be part of an immersive cultural experience on the Otakaro, Avon River with a focus on the conservation and restoration of the riverbed. Manuhiri (visitors) will participate in a kaihoe warm-up game and kaihoe haka lesson, Waka journey and walking tour.
We require a minimum of 4 people to paddle our waka. We will contact you within 24 hours prior to your scheduled tour time if we need to re-book. For groups of 30 or more, please email info@wakaonavon.co.nz
All children 15 and under are required to wear a life vest, which will be provided for you.
